Fall is in the air

And if you live in the Northern US, that air is probably already starting to get chilly. That means it's time to bring out the sweaters & boots! Fall and winter are the seasons for layering, which is the perfect chance to not only look cute and fashion forward but to also stay warm. So whether you spend your time outdoors or inside you can always keep yourself at a comfortable temperature. Not only are the clothes great during this season but you also have all the great holiday festivities. My favorite holiday being Black Friday, hahaha. Just kidding but really I just can't get enough of those great deals. All jokes aside Halloween and Thanksgiving are fun filled holidays (and calorie filled with all that candy and turkey with mashed potatoes) both of which I love. So let's enjoy this time before the snow starts to fall! Look forward to some fall trend posts and other fall related posts in the future!

Summer 2013!

Now that summer is in full swing for most of us, we can finally break out the shorts, pretty summer dresses, and cute tank tops. We can finally stray away from strict school dress codes and wear what we want. Thank goodness! That's one of the things I love most about summer, just being a free spirit. It's refreshing. Now I know that I may spend one too many days just chilling in my pajamas all day but hey if you're not going anywhere, why make more laundry, right? Regardless of that there are so many opportunities for fun summer looks and I know I can't wait to wear them. I also can't wait to show you all so stay tuned!

Spring Outfit of the Day

As you can see from the pictures, where I live the snow is finally melting! (You can also admire the nice brown grass in the pictures as well.) It was chilly spring day today (About 39 degrees) so I decided to do an outfit of the day post. Keep in mind I did also wear a jacket because I'm sure most of you are like "A spring day for you is 39 degrees and you're just wearing that?!?" but yes I'm well adapted to the cold so to me it is getting warmer outside. Anyways here are a few more pictures of my outfit.

Review: Relvon Colorstay Foundation

So my first review is going to be of the Revlon Colorstay (24 hour) foundation. I'm going to do this in a question and answer type of format.

How is the coverage of this foundation?
I would say that its a pretty good quality and the coverage is nice. I suffer with acne but this product works nice to cover it. Although I wouldn't say it completely covers it like it could.

Is it worth the price?
The foundation costs just under $10 at Walmart and yes I think that it is a very reasonable price and definitely worth it.

Does it really last 24 hours?
Yes, I would say that it does stay the same throughout the day and night without wearing away.

How is the feel of it on your skin?
It's not a heavy foundation which is nice and it is also not drying on your skin which is another great thing about this product.

How long will it last?
It comes with a very decent amount of product. I've had mine for about 5 months and I'm only half through my first bottle of it and I use it everyday. So I would conclude it is long lasting.

How do you apply it?
I just simply use my fingers although you could definitely use a foundation brush or sponge.

Would you recommend it overall?
Yes. Overall I like this product and I would recommend it as a more inexpensive foundation.

And that is it! If you have any more questions about this product just leave a comment or if you'd like a review of another product just leave a comment asking that too. Thanks :)

Wanelo Love

Want Need Love

So if you haven't been on or heard about Wanelo, I highly recommend you do. It stands for want, need, love. It's a great place for inspiration with basically just collections of pictures with links to where you can buy all these cute clothes, swimsuits, accessories, etc. It's very similar to pintrest (another site I also love) where it's just mainly lots of pictures but the difference is that you can actually buy all the things that are listed on the site. It is also pretty addicting so be careful! Anyways, take care everyone.

How to: Style Printed Leggings

I'm sure by now lots of you have notice the printed leggings trend but have you wondered "Sure it looks great on her but I could never pull it off. I wouldn't even know what to match them with them!" Well then I have a few tips for you!

First off since this is a trend try and find some inexpensive pairs of printed leggings. I know the first pair I bought was at Gordman's for about $9. Then once you try them on for a comfortable feel search around the store for a great top to go with them. Unless of course you have something at home you'll know will look good with them then you definitely don't need to spend the money. Now these printed leggings come in a wide variety of patterns such as tribal or animal print.

So since these are such loud and out there prints it's must to pair them with a simple top. I would go with either a white, black, or gray top. Or if you can find a top to match a color within the print than that works perfect too. As far as a style of top goes there are many choices. You could go with a V-neck or a button down style. If you want to keep it pretty trendy I recommend a high lo shirt. You can also style it with a long cardigan or baggy sweater. Now there are endless possibilities but you get the point.

As far as accessories go, you can do many things with these. Necklaces-Long ones or statement would be really cute but simple dainty ones work just as cute too. Bracelets-Anything really, express your own style there. And last but not least shoes. My recommendation would be to wear them with boots, but flats may look adorable too.

Now if you want a visual on this check out this YouTube video done by HauteBrilliance aka Aspyn.

There you have it! A whole look to go with the printed leggings trend! Now if you want help styling anymore trends leave a comment and let me know! Thanks for reading!

Arm Candy

arm party <3

It's cute & becoming increasingly more popular. It's arm candy. A collection of cute bracelets circled around your wrists. Now I love this trend but more for summer because I find wearing lots of bracelets during school to be very distracting. I guess I'm just easily amused. Anyway if your looking to sport this trend and want to know of some good places to pick up some new bracelets well then I do have a few suggestions; try checking out Forever 21, Brandy Melville, Claire's, or Francesca's. Now bracelets in particular that are pretty popular would include pearl bracelets, ones with studs, or ones with cute symbols. The cross symbol bracelets are a very trendy item coming from Brandy Melville. Then there is the infinite symbol which is also adorable. There are also colorful beaded bracelets to add a pretty or matching pop of color to any outfit. Well if you love this look just as much as me let me know in the comments! Thanks(:

Quote of the Moment

Taylor Swift- Ours

Searching for inspiration?

Do you ever find yourself looking for fashion or beauty inspiration? Well then I have a few suggestions of places to look for you!
-Pintrest: A website I often get outfit inspirations. It's basically like your own personal virtual bulletin board where you can "pin" different pictures of cute outfits, shoes, jewelry, and so much more!
-YouTube: Have you ever seen any of the beauty or fashion videos done by beauty gurus? If not I highly recommend you check them out. I watch them daily from all different YouTube users known as beauty gurus. I find so much of my inspiration from them. That's definitely where I pick up a lot of new trends.
-Tumblr: Is also a great website for cute style pictures. Similar to pintrest, you can follow other members and see their posts.
-Polyvore: Now this is a site I have loved for years. You make what are called "sets" which can be whatever you'd like. Most often you select different pieces of clothing & combine them to make outfits. You can do it simple like that or make it more artsy. It's great to just express your personal style on this site.
Now these are just a few examples of so many websites out there for style inspiration. Check them out for yourself & let me know of some of your favorite sites!

April Issue of Seventeen magazine

Just got done reading the latest issue of seventeen magazine and it was great. I bookmarked lots of pages regarding fantastic hair care techniques and lots of different hairstyles. Oh and let's be honest here, Ashley Benson looks gorgeous on the cover. I love the red blazer with the high-waisted shorts. I also love the way the gold jewelry matching the gold buttons pulls the whole look together. I know I'm definitely ready for spring and summer fashion. Anyone else?
